A devotional thought…
“Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6 NLT
Oh to be pursued by goodness and unfailing love not some but all of my days. This text is reassuring. For when I go astray, when I falter, when I reject Him or think I am unlovable, when I have done wrong, God is still pursuing me.
Oh to be pursued by goodness and unfailing love and as a result find His house. In it I can live under His shelter and covering. In His house there is protection. Needs are supplied. In His house there is love.
Oh to be pursued by goodness and unfailing love to the extent that I can find my senses. Each day I can have peace of mind. In His house I can receive sustenance and strength. I can be cleansed and clothed. Washed and warmed. I can find a place to live and learn.
Surely I will…forever!
A Prayer For Today
Lord, help us to realize that you are pursuing and that as a result we can live in You. Please provide for our daily needs and may you receive all the praise and glory for your work. Thank you! Amen
