Trust Him

a devotional thought…

“…no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This verse is full of promise. It provides a reminder to those who seek to do God’s work not to be deterred; not to entertain those who may seek to slander; neither be surprised that there are distractors and naysayers. God’s covering is on your life and your service.

Trials and tests come with the territory. God’s work is often accompanied by opposition; however, his Spirit accompanies those who seek Him and his blessings are real. Although weapons are formed, remember that the devil is defeated. Keep on pressing forward!

Weapons come in all shapes and sizes—envy, jealousy, greed, selfishness—to name a few. God’s promises are true and we can believe them despite the circumstances. Victory is ours because we know who wins!

Keep trusting in Him!

A Prayer for Today

Lord, doing what is right may seem hard at times but help us to trust in you regardless of the outcome knowing that you have our back. Give us courage, strength, and focus to do your will. Amen.
