Today’s Scripture
I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord. Psalm 122:1
Today’s Word
Unfortunately, now may not be the best time for us as believers to congregate physically but more than ever before we need to be taking advantage of virtual platforms through which we can encourage one another. God desires to inhabit our hearts and minds such that we may accomplish through His Spirit good works. Our bodies are to be temples in which we glorify God. What a challenge!
Having a daily walk both physically and figuratively provides breath to the soul. David was glad when he entered the house of the Lord. Christ also taught in the synagogue, but his ministry didn’t end there. In addition to learning more about our Savior, giving praise and thanks for all his blessings, our ministry must also be focused on reaching, teaching, and serving others wherever they may be. Daily, we should be glad to have Christ fill us with his love, share with others the knowledge of his return, and demonstrate to others by the way we live that He lives in our hearts.
A Prayer for Today
Lord we recognize that You have no interest in inhabiting physical and inanimate structures. We commit ourselves to You today to be used to bring cheer, hope, and love to those around us. Forgive us our shortcomings. We delight to do your will. In Jesus’ name, amen.
