Miami in 7. Who believes? :)

After two games in this NBA finals, I’m a little fearful for Denver.

I’ve watched Denver all season and I love the way Jokic and Murray play. Jokic is unselfish and Murray is the consummate proverbial dagger. However, as good as Gordon and Porter are, I feel the team is way too reliant on them. Things start to fall off quickly in terms of play making once you get to Gordon, Porter, and KCP. If Jokic and Murray aren’t able to get the others going their offense becomes limited. Denver’s weaponry needs more options and their bench is in need of a spark. Tell me why isn’t Reggie Jackson in the rotation? Running an 8-man rotation may have worked in the previous series but with this one adjustments will need to be made.

Miami on the other hand seems to be figuring them out. Miami has a good mix of youth and experience. I wouldn’t consider Bam or Jimmy to be better than Joker or Murray, but the sum of the parts is turning out to be greater than the whole.

Bam is indeed a problem just as Jokic is. He’s physical and can put up shots at will. And he’s not a bad free throw shooter.

Jimmy elevates his game when it matters most….

Love & Lowry are battle tested vets who can give you quality minutes.

Then Miami has a supporting cast that is playing way above expectations with undrafted players: Duncan, Caleb, Vincent & Strus

While both teams have good coaches, I’d give Spoelstra the edge. His experience in the playoffs counts, and his adjustments for game 2 were spot on.

Denver better not let Miami win the next two home games….Good luck on coming back from 3-1.

This series is heading to 7. And if it does get there, Miami has now shown they can win in Denver. So the series is up for grabs.
